I haven’t been the most disciplined mum when it comes to beauty and skincare. In fact, I think it ranks very close to the bottom of my priority list.
I go for a facial like maybe twice a year? (And every time, my facial masseuse will make comments about how clogged my pores are and how dry my skin.)
It’s not that I’m not vain - deep down, every woman wants to look good right? And it does make a difference to our spirits when we get compliments on how radiant we look, versus the dreaded “you look tired” comment.
These days, I try to get sufficient beauty sleep (which means no blogging late into the night).
I use a regular toner every night, to help my poor pores.
I was recently introduced to Human Nature’s newly launched Overnight Elixir, an all-natural concentration of 9 active oils and vitamins:
1) rosehip oil - helps slow down premature skin aging and brighten the skin
2) sunflower seed oil - helps lighten the skin
3) passion fruit seed oil - promotes healthy skin cells and hydration
4) soybean oil - moisturises the skin
5) avocado oil - known for its healing and superior moisturising properties
6) Vitamin E - combats photo aging
7) lavender oil - soothes and moisturises the skin
8) elemi oil - anti-microbial properties to protect the skin and keep it clear
9) rosemary oil - an antioxidant, helps to relax the senses
I’ve used the elixir every night for about a week. Although it’s only been a week, I’ve begun to notice that my skin is softer, and more hydrated-looking. (Slightly less dull and tired too.)
Just four drops a night is sufficient, and while the texture might be slightly oily to the touch, I find that it gets absorbed easily. Plus because I apply it just before bedtime, it doesn’t bother me.
I like best that it’s anti-aging and that it does a deep moisturising work overnight. Oh and it’s all-natural too. The Overnight Elixir is now available for purchase over at Human Nature’s website. And…
