Himalaya Herbals nourishing skin cream, great for daily use

I’ve heard of Himalaya Herbals products for babies and have even tried their baby moisturising cream and diaper rash cream, but I’ve only recently tried their nourishing skin cream for adults.

At first try, I was pleasantly surprised to find it light and non-greasy on the skin. It seems to be absorbed within minutes of application and you can actually notice the softness of the skin after application, even on rough areas like elbows and knees.

It comes in two sizes - 50ml and 150ml. I especially like the small tub as it makes it easy to pop into my diaper bag or even my stroller organiser. Now with two kiddos and a baby, I really struggle with keeping up with my daily skincare regime. (I barely find time to trim my nails!) So by having this cream on-hand wherever I go, I’m at least able to keep my skin moisturised as and when I have a free minute. Which happens mostly when the kids are busy at play.

I bring it out when I bring the kids swimming so I can apply it when I’m out of the pool (and while the kids continue to splash around).

At the playground while the kids are running around, I usually take the time to read a book and slap on some of this cream onto my legs when no one is looking. Especially good for this dry weather that we are experiencing.

easy to use when out and about

I can even apply it when I am out shopping, to take advantage of those idle minutes while nursing Joshua in the comfort of a nursing room. (Of course, I can’t reach my legs while holding baby, but I can still reach my neck and arms.)

And of course, I leave the bigger tub at home, and I use it after a warm bath, for optimal absorption.

If you have dry or combination facial skin like I do, this cream also works well as a makeup base.

What I like about it is that it’s au naturel and is made of aloe vera and winter cherry as its main herbal ingredients, which are known for their moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This means the cream doesn’t just moisturize, it also protects the skin.

Overall, I think it’s a lovely cream for everyday use.

If you’re keen to try it out, Himalaya products are available at pharmacies like Guardian, Unity and Watsons. It retails at $12.90 (150ml) and $5.30 (50ml).
