We were invited to a lazy Sunday brunch at District 10 (Star Vista). JJ was so excited about the bouncy castle. But as you can see below, I think he was more enthralled by the food!
The brunch menu is simple, with your standard egg options. The tapas and pinchos (mini open sandwiches) options were interesting though!
My eggs benedict was pretty well done - runny on the inside, firm on the outside.
The mushroom and egg pincho was yummy. The salmon one was a bit dry, but it is probably due to the fact that I asked for dairy-free, so it came sans-potato salad.
The chicken teriyaki was really juicy, and came in generous chunks.
The kids had their hands full with the colouring sheets that the restaurant provided, and the burger, fries and chorizos!
Busy colouring with their new friends from Olimomok.
We ended off with their special pandan pancakes. Served with gula melaka syrup! These super-soft pancakes taste awesome with giant dollops of gula melaka. If taken on their own, they are a little plain. The hubby wasn’t too fond of this one, but both JJ and I liked it.
Vera was happily bouncing away and playing with other kids. JJ, on the other hand, wasn’t taken by the bouncy castle. We were a little surprised but decided that since he’s happy doing his own thing - colouring, eating, playing with the rocking chairs - we’re happy too!
