Some nights back, the hubby came home. He drew open the curtain separating the nursery from the dining room and saw me rocking baby to sleep.
Baby had not been sleeping well as he had caught a flu bug from Vera.
I must have looked quite forlorn or tired, but still I managed to give him a slight smile.
He disappeared behind the curtain. Then, he popped his head in again. This time, he walked through the heavy drapes, came to my side, and gave me a tight hug.
His arms squeezed my shoulder aches away momentarily; I could actually feel some tension escaping from within my muscles.
I felt…
loved,
appreciated,
strong again.
It made me realise the power of something so simple as a hug.
Have you hugged your loved ones today?
